Actuate Programming is composed of a group of developers using Actuate every day to respond to real customers’ reporting needs sharing our discoveries with you. We are not affiliated with Actuate Corporation in any way, we just use their stuff.

This site is not meant to be an overwhelming how-to resource or a site full of tutorials with long blocks of code. You may find extended explanations from time to time, but our goal is to record our daily working discoveries in a usable manner. We strive to provide a real-life use of Actuate for developers newly trained or recently introduced to Actuate as a reporting tool.

Proprietary and confidential information is avoided in posting content and code. Examples including company names, table names, or other seemingly identifiable nuggets are generic. We encourage comments to be similarly ‘cleansed’ when contributing or seeking assistance.

Content representation belongs solely to the author noted on each post. Our code styles, examples, comments, suggestions, and general discourse should not be construed to represent any of our employers.

  4. Welcome back Doug. It looks like you are up and posting again. Alas, I have not been following. I will have to begin.

Also, I have some questions. Any chance I could drop ’em in here and you could at least point me at a resource?
